Beaba Babycook

My husband recently bought us the Beaba Babycook and I am so excited to start using it!  The Babycook is a steamer and a blender.  It cooks food in 15 minutes or less and collects the water from the steaming process, which you can add back into the blended mixture, so that none of the vitamins and valuable nutrients are lost.  Its compact design and the small portions of baby food that it cooks are perfect for condo living or for moms who want to make small portions freshly for their babies.

If you want to make giant batches of food at one time, this product probably isn’t right for you.  However given that doctors recommend that baby food be consumed the same day that it is made, I think the Babycook will work just perfectly for our family.  If you’re not familiar with the Beaba brand, it was developed in 1989 in France with the goal of creating smart, innovative and functional kid products.  I came across the brand in December when my sister-in-law, who then was living in France, sent us a baby goody bag full of fun European baby finds that we could not get our hands on here in Canada.  In the bag were also 3 soothers, which my son now adores!  Unfortunately the soothers are not available in Canada or the U.S., but if you have a friend or relative living overseas, I would encourage you to beg for them….but I digress.  Back to the Babycook!  Although my son is only 3 months old, I have spoken with many moms who use this product and they all love it as well.  I cannot wait to start blending up healthy, organic meals for my little man in the hopefully not-so-near future.

Bugaboo & Missoni Collaboration

This week, while perusing my usual websites and blogs I came to discover that Bugaboo and Missoni collaborated together to develop a special collection of stroller designs for the Bee and the Cameleon!  I’m sure it will literally fly off the shelves.  This is the perfect summer accessory for fashion-loving moms and dads outthere and young tots will love it too as it provides invaluable visual stimulation.  In Canada only 3 retailers will be carrying the much anticipated prints, one of which happens to be right down the street from here in Toronto… so ofcourse I had to put my name on the waiting list!    The collection is available at only a few select retailers around the world beginning in July and only be available in limited quantities so get them while they are HOT!
