Dreaming in Lilac Nursery Inspiration

I love lilac.  Everything about these flowers is calming and peaceful.  Its a perfectly tranquil color and reminds me so much of the outdoors.  Green fields, sunshine.  So so lovely to incorporate it into a nursery.

Bright Accents: Nursery Inspiration

Brights can add a fun and chic touch to any room, but especially a baby’s room.

Nurseries  get instant facelifts when bright pillows, colorful curtains or fun Moroccan poufs are thrown into the mix.  And what I love most about them, is that bright accents can be paired with ANY color scheme…there is always one bright that fits right in.

Retro Chic Nursery Inspiration

Something about these orange and blue hues melts my heart.  LOVE!

The color palette would make a beautiful chic nursery and an incredible toddler room.  I picture funky chalk boards, vintage globes and pretty linens to bring this all together.

There’s something to be said for visual inspiration when planning out a nursery design, and this retro kitchen is the perfect inspiration for a retro vintage nursery look.

Nursery Tips:

- find a vintage crib on Craig’s List and paint it teal

- pick rust red, pink and mustard accents for around the room

- look to Etsy for unique nursery items

- find the fabric you love and make your own crib sheets and curtains for an extra touch
