Baby Sam

{Photography by Melissa Gidney Photography}

Its been a little while since I posted any newborn photos, but today’s shoot by Melissa Gidney is so adorable that it definitely makes the wait worth it in my opinion.  Baby Sam is so precious and Melissa’s photos combine not just this lovely little person but also her beautiful nursery!!!  Bonus!

Don’t you just love little perfect baby feet?!  I remember when my little guy was this small {ok maybe he was never quite this small…weighing in at 9.5lbs at birth…but he was still little in my mind}.

Zoe’s Tranquil Orane and Pink Nursery

I am absolutely head over heels smitten with the nursery that momma Molly designed for her precious baby girl, Zoe!  The modern furniture with simple lines is so nicely complimented by the orange and pink wall art!  I love that this room could easily be transformed into a toddler room, kid room or even a teenager’s room.  Its simply just so beautiful!

About her inspiration for the nursery, Molly writes “I’ve had many sources of inspiration, but it took finding the peach/orange fabric in the bargain bin at Jo-Ann’s and the vintage Vera Neumann scarf on Etsy for the room concept to finally begin taking shape.”

One of my favorite elements of this room is the morrocan pouf! Its gorgeous and will come in super handy during those late night feedings, so momma can put her feet up and just relax!

Just last night I received a super lovely email from momma Molly,

Hi Ana!
Just had to share… my little Zoe Ellen was born on Sunday, July 24! We’re both home and doing great. I’m absolutely over the moon. :)
Best,

Molly

I just want to wish both Molly and baby Zoe a BIG Congratulations!!!  I bet she just looks so snuggly and cozy in her beautiful room!  Enjoy your precious little girl momma!!

Baby Lukas {newborn photography}

I am so excited for another incredibly beautiful newborn photo shoot from Melissa Gidney Photography.  She captured little precious baby Lukas and his loving momma oh-so-beautifully.  I just love the sleepy stare of a newborn!

As a little bonus, Melissa also captured baby-L’s perfect nursery and oh-so-cute little baby shoes!  {secretly I am slightly obsessed with baby shoes and baby feet.}

Thank you Melissa for sharing your beautiful work with us once again!

Nursery Inspiration: Gray and Orange Nursery

When I started trying to design my son’s nursery the only thing Michael {my lovely husband} and I seemed to agree on, was that we wanted orange and gray in the room.  We were literally, stumped on what else to do, until my sister-in-law sent me the link to Design Sponge.  If you’re not familiar with this fantastic blog, here’s a little bit about it: ” Design*Sponge is a design blog run by Brooklyn-based writer, Grace Bonney. Launched in August of 2004, the site updates between 6-8 times per day and was declared a “Martha Stewart Living for the Millennials” by the New York Times”. {taken directly from Grace’s “about” page}.  Once I began searching through the site, I was hooked!  She features so many uniquely beautiful projects, its really hard NOT to fall instantly in love!!!

Ok but back to what I was talking about….  I started scouring Design Sponge for ideas for little J’s nursery, and came across this ridiculously beautiful “Before & After: Lauren’s Nursery” post.  Now my own nursery turned out to be nothing like this in the end.  But I often come back to this post and drool over just how amazing of a job this mama did!
