I’m terribly overdue…almost a whole month overdue to post these.
When we decided to head to Vancouver for Michael’s grandma’s 90th, and not take baby J with us…it was tough. I missed him more than anything and anyone ever. But the time away also gave my husband and I some time to reconnect, and remember the things that we loved to do when it was just us two.
We used to live in Vancouver. For 3 years to be exact. I moved there right after university while Michael finished off his degree. We loved it there. We had our favorite places to eat, our awesome apartment overlooking the city and mountains, and our routine. We would wake up Sunday mornings and head out for brunch, we would go for runs around the seawall…and there’s nothing quite like running along side the ocean, turning a corner and seeing the beautiful mountains ahead.
Vancouver was home to us. And even though we’ve made a home in Toronto now, far away from our family and friends out West, it still feels like home. And we couldn’t help but feel the nostalgia coming back as soon as we stepped off the plane.
if I had a little girl I would buy this lovely baby pin from Jeweliette Jewellery
