We spend New Years day at my mom and dad’s with grandparents, my cousin, Johannes and two dogs.  We ate and talked and relaxed and had fun.  No one more so than Johannes who is old enough to really enjoy the snow this year.

I’d love to tell you we went to an exciting party on NYE and danced the night away.  But unfortunately our lives are really not that exciting.  I actually am embarrassed to say that I was asleep by 10pm and missed my midnight kiss all because of a really pesky sinus infection.  But New Years day is what its all about for me, and perhaps I should feel sad or a bit nostalgic about the holidays being over but I’m actually really excited for the new year.  There are big things on the horizon, I just feel it!

and P.S. after a very snowy fun morning it was time for Johannes to indulge in a big bowl of soup {and an epic nap}
