With all the excitement of the new house starting to really hit home we wanted to get a head start on planning our wardrobe for our master bedroom by heading to IKEA to get some much needed inspiration.
Johannes is no stranger to the large furniture store, we’ve brought him along many times before, but usually he’s content sitting in the shopping cart and watching the action. Not this time though. He refused to be put inside the cart, and opted to walk hand in hand with daddy instead, occasionally stopping to inspect a piece of furniture, or point to a posters of the IKEA delivery truck.
I tried to imagine how this gigantic place must seem to a pint sized human. It must be pretty magical. I can’t even recount how many times I heard the exclamation “wow” during that one hour, but it was quite the trip and one that we will certainly be making with him again soon…maybe this time we will stop in for a little lunch as well.

Awesome pictures and story!
My Dad used to teach us our colors and textures in fabric stores while Mom was shopping for material. Of course we always had clean hands before we entered and we remained in Dad’s arms or holding his hand, but we were free to respectfully touch, look, and learn.
Fun!!
