I never really understood the term “nesting mode” until I had my babies and mine kicked into overdrive. I went on a rampage, cleaning, cooking, organizing, doing laundry. Washing their tiny little socks and folding their soft muslin wraps was the best thing ever. I loved every minute of it and I spent way too much time sniffing all their tiny clean clothes.
I never really thought much about our cleaning products or laundry detergent until that point either. And then all of a sudden, I had to know what was in everything, I think it was part of the nesting drive. We started using Ivory Snow on a recommendation from a friend and after reading a bit about it I wanted to give it a try for all our newborn clothes. Ivory Snow has been around for a long time and moms for generations have trusted it on their newborns, including my mom who trusted it on me! It’s hypoallergenic and specially made for a newborn baby’s delicate skin. But it still gets out all those newborn yellow spit-up stains, or poonami explosion stains. So don’t let it fool you! It’s gentle but it works really well. So we stock up on it whenever we can for Henrik’s clothes. Especially when we’re at Costco!
We love heading to Costco in the spring. It’s a great time to load up on everything we used up during the colder, winter months. During our most recent trip, we stocked-up on a few containers of Ivory Snow and we also picked up other things we needed in the kitchen. Like lemons, avocados, walnuts and more. Costco Stores are also located across the country, so go check it out! We made our outing a family affair.
And while I’m on the topic of Costco, most of my long-time followers/readers know that I am obsessed with it. I go there at least once a week and stock up on everything we need. As a family of five we need a lot of almost everything and they carry so many great organic products that we tend to use up quickly, like milk, eggs, chicken and butter. My love for Costco started because of my mom, who originally bought my membership when I was a poor student and needed all the help saving. Now Michael and I have our own accounts of course, and its the best. If you don’t have a membership, I highly recommend getting one for yourself! You won’t be sorry! Oh and try their Kirkland brand chicken pot pie, it’s my favourite easy weeknight dinner with a big salad for the adults and chopped up veggies for the kids (the ones who will eat them anyways).
