We’re sick…again. Most parents warned me that this would happen once Johannes started school, yet I naively assumed that this would be true for every other child OTHER than my own. Not the case.
But its ok. Sick means extra snuggles from mom, and extra time spent together, so I’m willing to accept the trade-off.
School drop offs have been amazing this week, and if I didn’t know any better I would say that Johannes even missed school a little bit over the weekend. He was happy and didn’t cry at all yesterday, and when I picked him up I was greeted by a giant smile and a “HI!”. You have no idea how happy this makes me. I’m so glad that he is adjusting and starting to love it there, as a mom it definitely hurt my heart leaving my son crying every day and finding him crying on pickups.
We had a good week. Johannes learned to say “cookie”. I found some great vintage pieces most of which require some form of restoration, but all of which are super fun to do. And I have been thinking alot about the future and some pretty fun plans for a few years down the road.

I’m pretty sure Kale and I were sick more often than note those first few months of school. It got a lot better the second “semester” and this summer he wasn’t sick once despite having new kids (and new germs) at camp every week. Pretty soon you and J will have super immunity powers!
