For a few weeks now I’ve been battling with some sort of virus. I had four days of high fever, which I thought was mastitis…ouch, followed by Henrik getting a fever, a week of congestion for me and as of earlier this week, another bout of high fever for me. I’m not sure what to make of it, other than being run down by being up at night with the kids, breastfeeding and catching every possible bug the little guys bring home from school. I am so ready for them to be home for the summer and hopefully a few healthy months.
Despite feeling really crummy all day long yesterday, I needed some fresh air when Michael came home. Henrik and I headed outside to breathe in some of the early summer heat and get a little bit of vitamin D. Michael kept us entertained with stories from work and the trials and tribulations of employed folk. I can’t say that I don’t miss the office life, adult conversations, blazing hot coffee finished before it cools, and silent bathroom breaks. But you know, in other ways, I don’t miss it either. The politics and stress, that I don’t miss. The boys, no matter how much they argue, fight and cry, love me unconditionally and that totally counts for something.
