You know that saying, “I was a perfect parent until I had kids?”, well that’s often how I feel about this whole parenting journey. I went into it with many preconceived notions of the type of mom I would be. I was going to be the mom that always made her kids’ meals from scratch, who baked cookies for every holiday. The mom who only ever used organic products on her kids and volunteered for all their activities and PTA meetings. In my mind I was going to be perfect. But then my kids came along and I learned pretty quickly that I wasn’t perfect. I learned that I made mistakes and didn’t have time to be at every event. I learned that its ok to eat out and that cookies can be bought too.
I learned all those things but the most important was to try and do our best. And my best means 90% of everything I wrote above. So when EOS came out with their new Organic range of lip balms I was ecstatic because we love EOS in our home. I buy them in bulk at Costco. I put one in all my handbags, diaper bags, one in the car and the boys each get their own in their school bag too. In the winter time its especially important to me that to protect our lips from the cold wind and the temperatures are dropping fast in Toronto. EOS has always been organic but now they’ve revamped their formula to include 4 more natural oils and one natural shea butter. The boys love the Strawberry sorbet flavour most of all, but the new Pomegranate Raspberry is my favourite of the new flavours. The EOS lip balms are one area of motherhood I don’t have to compromise on which is great. You guys can learn more about the new EOS organic lip balms here.
We take our EOS lip balms everywhere with us, even to St. Lucia! They’re pretty easy to carry around.
